Survival Tips - Part II
Qs. I am already 23 and my parents are looking for a suitable groom for me. I am very apprehensive about this. One of my Aunts is 45 and is unmarried – she is a working woman – but I do not want a life like that – Please suggest a solution to curb my unnecessary apprehension.
Ans. Your apprehension is not unnecessary . Its but natural – there are so many permutations and combinations of relationships – mostly failures - as you can see around you – thus you are apprehensive.
If you are not very dumb and unobservant then I would suggest that you watch the Hindi teleserials for a while – just follow them for 2 –3 months (if you are not already following them ie.)- what do you see and what do you learn – that there is just one single Lady character who is good, sober, noble and gentle and if she is lucky then someone of the earlier generation might also be good and be ready to support her – eg. Great grand mother in law !! That’s all !! rest are all conniving bitches always geared up to cause a havoc on the simple lady’s life !
Now the question is – where do you place yourself – in the shoes of the simple lady – the central character? Or in the shoes of the conniving bitches? In case you think you fall in the former category – think a zillion times before getting married !!- are you really ready to face the constant nagging of some ‘strange’r conniving bitches? In case you belong to the latter category – please do go ahead and get married for you seem to be too dumb to carry on your life alone ! – and marry anyone for that matter – whoever shows even a wee bit of interest on you – just cling to him with all your life because the fact that you are writing such a letter in this era of Information and Broadcasting means that you are pretty dumb and unaware of society developments !!
The fact that your Aunt is a working woman – well she seems pretty intelligent to me. For anyone who has even a wee bit of self dignity and self respect would not like to indulge in things that are shown in Blue films – ever seen a blue film dumb bimbo? Well let me make a great revelation to you here – your life becomes like a ‘blue film’ after marriage – so you see – such facts does make a girl apprehensive.
The earlier generation chaps were not all that aware of such things – they all were pretty innocent and thus we can see them having 8 –11 children and they were pretty proud of having raised so many children !Well – I should say that it was lack of awareness – now we are amply aware – so…better think twice.
If you really want my advice – then I would suggest that you go for some career course – establish yourself firmly – then , and only then – if you find some man who thinks like you or has a similar upbringing like yours …and you think that you are in love with him and ready to compromise for him…then go ahead and get married. You can even raise children then – for they would by a by product of ‘love making’ and not just a ‘quickie’ session with a stranger who is just performing his duty by rubbing against your ‘nude’ body for a couple of minutes .
